A well taken care of 34 year old plane is just fine. Isnt average age of B-52s 50 yrs old?

I’ve been told a small amount of C & D checks are outsourced. Dunno.
I seen that and felt it was something overlooked on an inspection. Engine falling off.
I believe it had spent like a month @ST Aviation in San Antonio of some corrosion and other fixes. I think this same company also did the conversions to freighter for UPS and maybe FredEx. Accident reminded me when I was a kid of AA 191 when improper maintenance caused the engine/pylon to tear off the wing.

Old news UPS has laid off more than 150 Teamster mechanics since February 2009. In the meantime, the company is outsourcing maintenance work overseas.
