End of good paying delivery jobs is here

We are experiencing fast like what happened to the freight companies when deregulation was started back in the 80’s. So many small companies started moving freight and brokers the ones who move freight with their own trucks. All them good paying truck companies bankrupted. Yellow was the last one standing. Now we have Amazon and FedEx contractors using their personal cars to deliver just to make a buck. Even Roadie through ups doing the same. FedEx express wasn’t to bad for pay now going away to all outside contractors. This will just continue to erode away UPS in the coming years. So many people have the non union mindset is better. I’m seeing all this in my small town. Even Walmart has same day delivery for stuff here. All this just started not so long ago and is picking up speed all around us.

Have to agree. I think the Teansters will have a hard time stopping it.

I'll keep riding the gravy train

Teamsters are done it's only a matter of time.

It's certainly hard to believe that they'll do better with our next contract.

They did precious little with the leverage that they had, and they won't get that chance again.

In less than 2 years top rate will be $49 and hour.

Ypu aren't going to get much more than that plus the Healthcare and pension

Duh

Ordered something from Walmart. Free shipping. Was at my doorstep in less than 12 hours. Was it roadie? Was it spark? I have no idea. But I do know that would have been on a UPS truck 2-3 years ago.

They have drivers in their personal cars here. They deliver for Amazon and Walmart at the same time not sure who they actually get paid by. It’s not roadie. Roadie did deliver to me for Home Depot once.

Think you're near (or in) retirement and safe? Think again.
See how your pension lasts with no contributions.

When it stops do we get to go back to UPS?
