Firemen aren't federal but most government and especially federal workers are just an amalgamation of make-work with a bottomless pit of funding with no accountability and bear no risk whatsoever in worker incompetence, inefficiency, redundancy, and waste.

My wife is a VA nurse I feel they should be. Many good doctors and nurses leave to go work their because they are or were.
